JAM Duo in Norwich Assembly House

Designed by architect Thomas Ivory in 1754, no expense was spared in the construction of The Assembly House and while historians view it as one of the most important buildings in Norwich and a magnificent example of historic architecture, we would simply describe it as the most beautiful wedding venue in Norfolk.

The Grade I-listed splendour of the House is evident from the moment you approach our sweeping driveway and, once inside, there is romance hidden around every corner, from the sparkling chandeliers that make evenings and ceremonies glitter to the gorgeous gardens where you can sip ice-cold Champagne, the beautiful balconies that are perfect for photo opportunities to the luxury bedrooms packed with sumptuous details.

THE GRAND HALL

Glittering chandeliers, heavenly high ceilings, a beautiful balcony and the perfect place to enjoy an arrival drink, our Grand Hall is a show-stopping space that will set the tone for a spectacular wedding. In the winter, the open fireplace is lit creating a cosy place to gather as you prepare for your ceremony, wedding breakfast or reception.

THE NOVERRE BALLROOM AND GARDEN

This beautiful ballroom makes a stunning backdrop for larger occasions thanks to its high ceilings, crystal chandeliers and polished wooden floor. This impressive space is decorated with paintings of the Noverre family, from whom the room takes its name, and is where the people of Norwich first learned classical dance. One of the largest function rooms in Norwich, it is perfect for wedding breakfasts and evening parties and boasts staging, a private bar, a private entrance and its very own secret garden, an enclosed space reached through French doors that offers the perfect place for al fresco drinks.
