JAM Duo – the award-winning cello and piano duo of Jules Addison and Anne-Marie Humphries – have had the pleasure of performing here, and it’s a venue we absolutely love. The Venue
Town Head Estate offers a perfect mix of rustic beauty and modern sophistication. The main ceremony barn upstairs features exposed stone walls, oak beams and soft ambient lighting, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere. Downstairs, a large glass-fronted marquee links to the bar area, offering sweeping views across the grounds and providing a warm, inviting space for drinks receptions and dining.
With on-site accommodation, private lakeshore access and manicured gardens, Town Head feels secluded yet refined – ideal for couples seeking both privacy and elegance for their Lake District wedding.
Weddings at Town Head Estate
Ceremonies typically take place in the upstairs barn, where the natural acoustics make it a dream setting for live music. The combination of wood and stone gives cello and piano a beautiful, resonant tone – perfectly suited to romantic pieces such as Canon in D, A Thousand Years or cinematic themes from Bridgerton and Einaudi.
After the ceremony, guests can enjoy the drinks reception in the adjoining marquee or outside on the terrace overlooking Windermere (weather permitting). It’s the ideal transition from formal to relaxed, and live music helps maintain the flow and atmosphere throughout.
JAM Duo at Town Head Estate
In November 2025, JAM Duo were delighted to provide music for Alice and Darren’s wedding at Town Head Estate. Their ceremony took place in the upstairs barn, where we performed a bespoke programme including I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi for the bridesmaids and the Theme from Jurassic Park for the bride’s entrance – a truly cinematic moment.
Afterwards, we moved seamlessly downstairs into the marquee for a lively 90-minute drinks set featuring favourites like Africa (Toto), Halo (Beyoncé), Love Story (Taylor Swift) and Dancing in the Moonlight. It was a joy to perform for such a warm and happy gathering in one of the Lake District’s finest venues.
Town Head’s dedicated staff made everything effortless – from helping with chairs and setup to ensuring we had refreshments ready when we moved between spaces. Their attention to detail makes this venue a pleasure to return to time and again.
