Dating back to the 1700s, Kirkby Fleetham Hall is a beautiful stately home surrounded by landscaped gardens and peaceful parkland. Outside, the lake, walled gardens and lawns provide endless opportunities for photographs, drinks, and marquee celebrations.
The Hall holds a civil licence for weddings, with options for ceremonies indoors or outside in the grounds. Many couples also choose to host their drinks reception on the terrace or within one of the grand reception rooms before moving to a marquee for dining and dancing later in the evening.

JAM Duo at Kirkby Fleetham
We had the pleasure of performing at a recent wedding here for Summer and James, whose elegant celebration made full use of the Hall’s stunning spaces. Their ceremony took place in the bright, light-filled room overlooking the gardens, followed by a drinks reception in the main Hall and on the terrace.
Our music for the day included the bride’s entrance to Into the West – a moving and cinematic choice that sounded wonderful on cello and piano. During the drinks reception, we performed a lively selection of pieces ranging from pop and film music to romantic classics, perfectly matching the relaxed, celebratory mood of the afternoon.
As always, the staff at Kirkby Fleetham Hall were incredibly supportive, ensuring everything from setup to transitions ran smoothly. It’s a venue that understands the importance of atmosphere and the role live music plays in creating it.
