How Wedding Music Pricing Works

Live wedding music pricing in the UK varies depending on a few key factors:

  • How much of the day you’d like music for
(ceremony only, or ceremony plus drinks and wedding breakfast)
  • The number of musicians involved
  • The level of experience and professionalism
  • Logistics such as travel, setup, and equipment

For daytime weddings, couples often choose experienced duos or small ensembles because they provide a full, elegant sound without the scale — or cost — of a full band.

JAM Duo’s Approach to Wedding Music Pricing

We believe wedding music pricing should be clear, inclusive, and easy to understand.

When you book JAM Duo, our prices are structured around simple options rather than confusing add-ons. Each option reflects a different level of daytime coverage, so you can choose what best suits your wedding without feeling pressured into more than you need.

What Our Pricing Includes

  • Two professional musicians — Piano and Cello (Always Jules and Anne-Marie). We both have Grade 8 with distinction on multiple instruments, we both have Music Degrees and Post Graduate Qualifications in Music. We are not just ‘wedding musicians’
  • Always live music — no backing tracks
  • Carefully planned music for your timeline – your choice of music via our online client form – no fees to arrange new songs or limit to the number of new songs you can choose
  • Professional setup and sound appropriate for daytime weddings
  • Clear performance durations with no ambiguity
  • Unlimited access to us via WhatsApp, Email or Telephone prior to your wedding day to ensure the plans are just right.

What you see in our options brochure is exactly what you can expect.

No Travel Costs Across England and Wales

One of the biggest frustrations couples face when comparing wedding musician prices is unexpected travel fees added later.

With JAM Duo:

  • There are no travel costs anywhere in England and Wales
  • No mileage calculations
  • No regional surcharges
  • No last-minute additions

This means the price you see reflects the actual cost of your music, not a headline figure that grows once you enquire.

Inclusive Pricing — No Hidden Extras

Our pricing is intentionally inclusive. We don’t charge extra for:

  • Reasonable setup time
  • Standard equipment required for your booking
  • Playing live throughout the agreed periods
  • Planning your music in advance including your unlimited choice of music

We structure our options so couples can compare easily and make a confident decision without needing to decode a long list of exclusions.

Why Daytime Wedding Music Is an Investment for Guests and Couples

While ceremony music is an emotional highlight, most of your wedding day is spent with your guests — during arrival, drinks, and the meal.

Daytime live music:

  • Creates atmosphere without overpowering conversation
  • Helps guests feel relaxed and looked after
  • Prevents awkward silences or flat moments
  • Elevates the overall feel of the day

Our pricing reflects not just the time spent playing, but the experience required to make those hours flow effortlessly.

Comparing Wedding Music Prices Fairly

When comparing wedding musicians’ prices, it’s worth asking:

  • Are travel costs included?
  • Is the pricing clear or “from” a lower figure?
  • How much of the day does the quote actually cover?
  • Will the musicians adapt to changes on the day?

JAM Duo’s options are designed to answer those questions upfront.
