The East Court Mansion and the Meridian Hall form part of the East Court Estate, which is set in parkland conveniently nestled in the serene Countryside of Sussex with sweeping views overlooking Ashdown Forest in the distance. The Greenwich Meridian runs through historic East Grinstead, the hub for four counties, for this is the only place where East Sussex and West Sussex meets Surrey and Kent. Meridian Hall
The sympathetic architecture of the Meridian Hall blends perfectly with the 18th Century elegance of the adjacent East Court Mansion. The layout takes full advantage of the magnificent views across the gardens and hirers can also enjoy the enclosed paved piazza attached to the side of the hall.
This light and airy building, which is licensed for up to 140 guests, is fully equipped with air conditioning, lighting and sound equipment.
The Main Hall
The larger of the two rooms within the beautiful Grade II listed East Court Mansion is the Main Hall. This is a superb room for ceremonies, registered for up to 60 guests. Its Georgian character is highlighted by many original features, including the fireplace elegantly offset by period lighting.
The Cranston Suite
Ideal for smaller ceremonies, the Cranston Suite is a light and stylish room. It is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 40 guests. This room offers spectacular views across East Court’s grounds and an anteroom with patio doors give access to the terrace and the gardens.
