Today we were in Leicestershire for the delightful wedding of Lucy and Nathan which took place at Belvoir Castle.
One of the more intimate weddings we have been involved in, Lucy and Nathan were both joined by their parents making 6 people in the wedding party plus ourselves and a photographer.
We had been booked to provide music for the whole day which covered Ceremony through to First Dance.
The Wedding Ceremony
The music for the ceremony included:
Bridal Entrance
You’re still the one – Shania Twain
Signing
Wild Horses – The rolling stones
This I Promise You – Ronan Keating
Exit
Can you feel the love tonight – Elton John
We also played ‘500 Miles’ for Nathan’s entrance.
Music throughout the day
After the ceremony we moved into another room in the castle which had been designed along the style of the Palace of Versailles in France and very grand it was too. There was a grand piano in this room but, as is so often the case, it was not regularly maintained and so to get around this we set up our Nord Stage piano just behind the piano.
After a short drinks reception it was then time for the first dance which was held in the same location as the ceremony.
Lucy and Nathan’s chosen song was our arrangement of Wonderwall by Oasis.
We then moved again into the Castle dining room where Lucy & Nathan, along with their parents enjoyed a sumptuous 3 course meal whilst we provided the musical backdrop.
This was a really lovely wedding and it was a joy and privilege to be part of such an intimate affair. We were made to feel very welcome by Lucy, Nathan and their families and they kindly provided us with dinner afterwards before we made our way back home to the Cotswolds.
We wish them every happiness in their future married life together.
