As well as weddings JAM Duo also get involved in a lot of other events and in particular providing music for drinks receptions at parties. Today we were in Tenby, South Wales and had been booked as a surprise for a 50th Birthday party.
Tenby, South Wales
Nestled along the stunning coastline of South Wales, Tenby stands as a picturesque and historic gem that captivates visitors with its charm and beauty. This quaint town, perched on the Pembrokeshire coast, boasts a rich tapestry of colorful houses, cobbled streets, and medieval walls that evoke a sense of timeless allure.
Tenby’s history can be traced back to the medieval period, and its architecture reflects a fascinating blend of eras, from the remnants of its ancient town walls to the elegant Georgian and Victorian structures that line its streets. The town’s unique character is further enhanced by its three pristine sandy beaches – North Beach, South Beach, and Castle Beach – each offering breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and the shimmering waters of Carmarthen Bay.
The Party
After spending a day looking around some of the beautiful sights of South Wales which included a trip to St David’s Cathedral and the Castle in Pembroke, we arrived in Tenby early evening in readiness for our booking.
Our booking was for approximately an hour to provide music to around 25 guests whilst they enjoyed champagne before the birthday dinner.
Lorraine had booked us to provide music for her husband Richard and they had rented a beautiful 12 bedroom house on the coast near Tenby. By the time we got there it was dark but we were assured the views from the terrace were fabulous by day!
The request musically was for modern classics to include a few tracks by Oasis and ‘Every Breathe You Take’ by the Police.
We really enjoyed being a part of this lovely stylish occasion and we wish Richard a very happy Birthday!
