After yesterdays wedding at Hetland Hall Hotel we drove down to Nottingham, arriving at our Premier Inn around 1am. During August we are always manically busy and so driving around the country during the hours of darkness is just part of the job! However, this did mean we had plenty of time in the morning to find somewhere nice for breakfast before heading to the Carriage Hall for todays wedding between Alice and Jamie.

This was our first visit to the Carriage Hall at Plumtree, just on the outskirts of Nottingham and what a delightful venue it is. Essentially the building is an old railway building which has been beautifully converted into a very stylish 21st century wedding venue.
We were made to feel very welcome by the staff on our arrival and it was our absolute pleasure to provide music for Alice and Jamie’s wedding day. Our brief today was to provide music for the indoor wedding ceremony before moving outside onto the terrace to provide music throughout the drinks reception.
It was a lovely hot August day and so it was nice to be sheltered under the stretch tent area for the drinks reception. The weather this month has been very iffy to say the least and this was one of the few hot summer weddings we were involved in!
All too soon our involvement with Alice and Jamie’s wedding was at an end and it was time to drive back up to Scotland for tomorrow’s wedding on Loch Lomond! We are certainly clocking up the miles at the moment going up and down the M6 and M74 and this would not be our last trip to Scotland before the month is out as later on in the month we will back near Glasgow.
We really enjoyed being a part of Alice and Jamie’s wedding at the Carriage Hall in Nottinghamshire and we wish them every happiness as they embark on their married future together.
