It is always a pleasure returning to Llechwen Hall in South Wales as we have played for number of weddings here. We were therefore really looking forward to being a part of today’s wedding between Laura and Alex and, as we arrived to set up, the sun was shining down.

The Wedding Ceremony
For us, the wedding day at Llechwen Hall starts in the Old Jail House. Llechwen Hall was first built in the 17th century as a family residence by the Thomas family. Up until their departure in 1938, the out-building to the hall, now named “The Jailhouse” was reputed to be used as a stopover prison by the local magistrates.
For ceremonies in the Jail House ,we always set up at the back on the balcony looking down on the ceremony. From here we get a great view of the bridal entrance which is always handy for timing the entrance music to perfection for the Bride’s arrival.

This was a first for the bridal entrance where Jules played Ballade pour Adeline on the piano – apparently Laura (who looked absolutely amazing in her beautiful dress) had booked us specifically because this track was one of our recordings on our listen page!
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we made our way to the courtyard at the rear of the hotel where the outdoor drinks reception was being held.
Here we carried on playing in the sunshine whilst guests enjoyed drinks and canapés before they were called into the wedding breakfast.
Some of the songs we played during this time included:
Dance monkey
Africa toto
Wonderwall
Count on me Bruno mars
Mr Brightside
We really enjoyed being a part of Laura and Alex’s wedding at Llechwen Hall and we wish them every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
