We travel all over the country to perform — from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands — and we’ve had the pleasure of playing at some stunning venues recently, including Elmore Court, Cider Mill Barns, The Old Gore near Cirencester, and Newhall Estate just outside Edinburgh.

The Flow of the Day
A well-planned daytime schedule usually has three musical chapters, each with its own mood.
1. Ceremony
The ceremony is all about emotion and meaning. We often begin playing around 20 minutes before the start, as guests are seated. The music during this time helps to settle nerves and sets the tone for what’s to come.
Then come the highlights — the bridal entrance, the signing of the register, and the couple’s exit. Each of these is timed to perfection. Because we perform live, we can adjust to every moment — holding a note, extending a phrase, or building to a perfect ending as the bride reaches the front.
2. Drinks Reception
After the ceremony, the drinks reception is a time for joy and laughter. Guests mingle, photographers capture candid moments, and music becomes the glue that ties it all together.
We typically play 90 minutes of continuous live music, choosing songs that fit the mood of the afternoon — sometimes upbeat pop and rock covers, sometimes mellow soul and jazz. It’s light, welcoming, and full of energy without being overpowering.
3. Wedding Breakfast
During the meal, the music softens. The piano and cello provide a sophisticated backdrop that enhances conversation rather than competes with it. We often include a mix of smooth jazz, gentle classical pieces and romantic modern favourites.
