Our second trip to Clitheroe in under a week was for the wedding of Meghan at Jack at the delightful venue of Browsholme Hall.

Browsholme Hall is a stunning Tudor manor dating back to around 1507, making it Lancashire’s oldest surviving family home and a Grade I listed treasure. Still lived in by the Parker family for over 500 years, it combines authentic heritage with intimate, tailored experiences.

As a wedding venue, Browsholme Hall offers two elegant ceremony options: the rustic, oak-beamed Tithe Barn, which can accommodate up to 120 day guests and 180 in the evening, and the charming Regency Drawing Room, perfect for more intimate gatherings. Surrounded by 600 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens, it provides a truly magical backdrop with woodland glades, a lily pond, and sweeping lawns.

The fully restored 17th-century Tithe Barn features stone walls, exposed oak beams, flagstone flooring, and modern comforts, while a courtyard with a wood-fired pizza oven adds a relaxed, celebratory touch. On-site accommodation includes a cosy Mews Cottage for newlyweds, with luxury woodland lodges soon to follow.

With exclusive use of the estate, award-winning catering, and a dedicated team to bring your vision to life, Browsholme Hall is a timeless and romantic setting for a truly unforgettable wedding day.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal

Starting in the grounds of the main house, our first brief was to provide music for the ceremony. However, it also turned out the ceremony space was quite some distance from the reception and therefore this would mean reloading the car to drive from one part of the venue to another.

Having arrived early enough to establish this we set up a slightly smaller setup for the ceremony, but only in terms of the number of speakers we used which doesn’t impact on the sound quality outside at all. This meant we could then repack everything, load the car and get to the reception space and set up again just about in the time it took the guests to do the confetti shot and walk across themselves.

Music for the Ceremony

Pre Ceremony
All of me – John ledgend
Gabriel’s oboe

Bride – Never enough from the greatest showman

Every breath you take

Exit
Coldplay sky full of stars

We always love a blend and it was a nice long outdoor aisle which gave plenty of scope for two songs.

After the ceremony as discussed above we managed to seamlessly move to the reception area where we set up again on the patio to provide music for guests as they enjoyed drinks and canapés in the sunshine. Earlier in the day there had been a threat of rain – even the slightest damp would be enough to almost destroy our instruments and so this is always something we are cautious of outdoors. But no matter the clouds soon parted and the sun shone.

We really enjoyed being a part of this wedding and we wish Jack and Meghan every happiness as they embark on their future as husband and wife.
