WEDDING MUSIC GUIDE · YOUR SONGS

Can we choose our own wedding songs?

Yes. Your wedding music does not have to come from a standard list of “wedding songs”. Personal choices often create the moments people remember most.

IMPORTANT MOMENTS

Choose the entrance, signing, exit and first dance pieces that really matter to you.

THE REST OF THE DAY

You can give us a style or mood rather than selecting every single piece.

UNUSUAL CHOICES

A song does not have to be conventional to work beautifully on cello and piano.

Choose the songs that mean something first

If there is a song connected with your relationship, start there. It might be perfect for an entrance, signing, exit or first dance even if nobody would describe it as a traditional wedding choice.

For the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, you usually do not need to programme every track. A broad direction — modern, classical, film music, upbeat pop, relaxed romantic music — is often more useful.

A USEFUL BALANCE

Pick the pieces that are emotionally important. Let the longer sections of the day breathe rather than turning your wedding planning into the job of choosing 60 songs.

What if our song is not in the repertoire?

We can easily create a new arrangement, depending on the song and how it translates instrumentally. It is worth asking rather than assuming an unusual choice will not work.

Your music should sound like your wedding

Classical, Taylor Swift, Oasis, film music, Disney or something nobody else would think of — the useful test is whether the music means something to you and works for the moment where you want to use it.
