Jules and Anne Marie with Guido and Abby at Nunsmere Hall

When Margaret Thatcher was famously ousted from Downing Street on 22 November 1990 by John Major, she resided to Nunsmere Hall Hotel to escape the anarchy in London. With more freedom to speak her mind, she wrote two volumes of memoirs- The Downing Street Years (1993) and The Path to Power (1995) in the privacy of the hotel.

Having stayed nearby the night before, against this backdrop we arrived today for Abby and Guido’s wedding being held in the hotel.

Wedding Ceremony

The first part of the day was of course the wedding ceremony. Held in the ceremony room in the hotel, this time we were positioned at the front so had a great view of proceedings.

Ceremony Music

Abby and Guido had chosen some lovely songs for their ceremony which we really enjoyed playing for them:

Bride walking down the Aisle song: Falling in love by Elvis
After ceremony: Sunrise by Norah Jones
Signing register: Make you feel my love by Norah Jones

Wedding Drinks Reception

After the ceremony we once again moved outside, although really was just yards from where we had played before. For the next hour or so we entertained the guests with some of our contemporary play list whilst they supped champagne on the patio.

Wedding Drinks Reception

JAM Duo play a range of music for wedding drinks receptions. Whether you like covers of contemporary songs or something a bit more traditional, our wide ranging repertoire has something for everyone.
