Music is often overlooked for weddings, and yet it can play such an important part. JAM Duo are a Cello and Piano Duo who perform a wide range of music from Classical Favourites through to Contemporary covers of Popular Songs.
We absolutely love playing at weddings and are most commonly asked to play for The Wedding Ceremony, the Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast. We sometimes also play for your first dance if you want something extra special and romantic.
Your Wedding Day
Most weddings we play at follow a similar format. First of course is the wedding ceremony. This is then followed by a Drinks reception usually lasting between 1 – 2 hours. During this time the bride and groom will often be off being photographed. After the drinks reception will be the wedding breakfast with usually another short break before going into the evening festivities and first dance.
Music for the Drinks Reception
The wedding drinks reception generally takes place between the wedding ceremony and the wedding breakfast or meal. At this point guests will mingle and chat whilst the bride and groom, along with their bridesmaids and family. members will be taken to different parts of the venue for some stylised photographs. Often there will also be a photo with all friends and family and at some point the bride and groom will walk through their guests whilst confetti is thrown.
It is during the drinks reception that JAM Duo can provide lovely background music. This helps to create a relaxing ambience whilst your guests chat as they drink champagne or enjoy canapés.
No matter whether your drinks reception is being held outside or in a bar area, JAM Duo can play anywhere. An acoustic duo (cello and piano) we can either use a piano at your venue or bring our digital piano which is entirely portable and doesn’t need electricity from the venue.
