As well as weddings, of which we go to many, JAM Duo also love to provide ambient music for Corporate Events, Parties and Dinners.
Today we were in Dorset. As we made our way down the M5, despite the last 2 days being apparently the hottest in history, Britain had done the usual thing by going back to being slightly grey, overcast with light drizzle.
Feeling comfortable with this, we stopped off at the Lovely Pig at Coombe for a spot of lunch before heading to today’s venue which was The Escot Estate.
On arrival we met with Rosie and were asked to set up in the grounds of Escot Park where the summer party and BBQ was about to be held.
Prior to this point Sparx delegates had been on an activity day which we believe involved Axe Throwing amongst other challenges! Before we started there were prizes awarded to the winning team. It was then party time, the wine was flowing and the bar was opened.
The CEO of Sparx Learning gave a very short speech which was followed by a Group Photo after which there was a BBQ for all to enjoy (including us!).
We had been given a list of songs to play, a lot of which were from Game of Thrones and the world of video gaming. This was great as it gave us some new repertoire to explore. Much as we love weddings, it was nice to get away from A Thousand Years for a few hours!
Despite earlier threats of rain the weather held for the evening and we soon found ourselves, once again, bathed in glorious sunshine as we continued to play music from the terrace of Escot Park in Devon.
