Today’s wedding marked the end of our little tour around the UK. Starting in North Wales, over the last few days we have been to Wrexham, Chesterfield, Dumfries, Edinburgh, York and Colchester.

Wedding Ceremony
Today the ceremony was held indoors in the Rose and Crown which is a Best Western Hotel in Colchester. Arriving in good time we soon found out where we needed to set up and even with our piano shell, were ready within no more than fifteen minutes. It’s always a great help when there is parking right outside the venue. The staff were very accommodating and we were positioned at the back of the ceremony room.

Wedding Drinks Reception
After the short ceremony, we moved outside to a small garden opposite the hotel for a drinks reception. Although bulky in some respects, our piano shell is actually quite easy to move around venues, even when we are faced with doorways and a few stairs. So within a few minutes, whilst the confetti shot was taking place, we set ourselves up for the outdoor drinks reception.
Whilst there were grey skies overhead the weather was kind to us and we managed to stay outside for the duration of the drinks reception before it was time to once again pick up the piano shell and head back indoors.
Wedding Breakfast
Today we were playing for the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast (meal). This is one of our more popular packages as it gives consistency for the day time music.
Setting up in the corner of the room where the meal was taking place, we continued to provide a mix of jazz and popular classics whilst guests sat down for a three course meal.
