For Alice and Tom’s wedding we were booked to provide music for their wedding ceremony at the delightful Italian Villa. We have now done quite a few weddings around Bournemouth and Poole. Whilst not the easiest place to get to from our home in the Cotswolds, it is a lovely part of the country and always a pleasure to go back there.

The Wedding

Alice and Tom
The Italian Villa, Compton Acres
Thursday 22 December 2022

Officially our last wedding before Christmas but not the last one of 2022 as we have a couple more weddings between Christmas and New Year as well as our bookings for New Years Eve.

The music list for Alice and Tom contained a little twist. Not only did Tom think that the music was going to be a Spotify playlist, but Alice had also told Tom she would be walking in to Canon in D by Pachelbel. However, Tom loves Jurassic Park so as a surprise for him Alice asked us to play the Piano Guys version of this theme instead.

We always love the little touches which happen at weddings and this was a great success and all a genuine surprise for Tom – reducing him to tears as Alice walked in apparently.

Pre Ceremony

She – elvis Costello
Everywhere – Fleetwood Mac
I Can’t help falling in love with you – Elvis Presley

The Venue

Set against a divine 10 acres of manicured gardens within the renowned Compton Acres, The Italian Villa is the perfect setting for any wedding, corporate or private event.

The Italian Villa has been an award winning favourite with brides and grooms for years and is now under new management by the Merna family who own Compton Acres. Mr Merna comments “Obviously current restrictions due to the Coronavirus Pandemic have made it necessary to postpone wedding plans for many couples, but we are here for you and ready to help you with your plans for the future. We hope we can get the Villa back on track as soon as possible to create more happy days ahead”.

The multi award-winning venue provides 3 floors of unrivalled elegance for your dream event.

We really enjoyed being part of Alice and Tom’s wedding at the Italian Villa in Compton Acres. It was our first visit to this venue and whilst the weather wasn’t as good as it could have been it was certainly a lovely venue.
