Another road trip up North for us to provide music for Kate and Paul’s wedding at the Hilton Hotel on the edge of Chester. With this being a busy week, we didn’t have time to organise a hotel for the night before and so we drove up to Chester early on the Saturday morning. Conscious that there was talk of horses running around in Chester we left in plenty of time.

We always aim to arrive at least an hour before the ceremony so we have plenty of time to set up but often will be in the vicinity of the wedding earlier than that. Today, despite some traffic on the M6 we arrived with time to spare having also found a spot of breakfast en route.

Although there was a little rain as we arrived there was easy access into the ceremony room where we set up with our gloss black piano shell. which you can just see to the left of the aisle in the photo below.

The Wedding Ceremony

Kate and Paul had chosen some fabulous music for their ceremony which included:

Pre Ceremony
I don’t want to miss a thing – Aerosmith
A million dreams greatest Showman
One day like this – Elbow
Perfect – Ed Sheeran
Shallow – Lady Gaga

Bridal Entrance
Canon in D into I’m kissing you (Des’ree) for Bridal entrance

Signing
Stand by me – Ben E King
You’ve got the love – Source

Exit
Nothing’s gonna stop us now – Starship

Kate also wanted to make sure we would play the exit with the Nord Piano sounds which we used on our recording which you can hear on our listen page.

Obviously we were more than happy to oblige…!

After the ceremony we relocated to a nearby Conservatory for the drinks reception.

During the drinks reception we continued with an upbeat theme which culminated in a request for Allez, Allez, Allez as there turned out to be quite a number of Liverpool FC supporters in the room all who preceded to film our off the cuff rendition!
