Back in 2021 when weddings were still operating under restrictions imposed by government covid guidelines, we first made contact with Cider Mill Barns asking about whether we could be on their preferred supplier list, and if so what we would need to do / provide.

Well roll forward a couple of years, and the world is a very different place. It was on Thursday 13 April 2023 that we played for our first wedding at Cider Mill Barns just outside of Stratford Upon Avon in Warwickshire. And what an amazing venue it is!

Cider Mill Barns is a beautiful, recently converted barn wedding and events venue on the border of Shakespeare’s Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. Formerly part of a working farm, the barns have been sympathetically restored to create a stunning backdrop to your special day.

Weddings in Cider Mill Barn

With exposed brick and stunning oak beams, the ceremony room has a spectacular yet relaxed, rustic charm. You will be framed by the dramatic picture window at the end of the aisle as you exchange your vows, and the views over the grounds offer the perfect backdrop for this special moment.

Today we were providing music for the Ceremony, Drinks Reception and meal for Nicola and Chris.

Ceremony Music

Nicola had chosen some great songs for their ceremony which included:

Pre Ceremony
Evanescence – My Immortal
Elton John – Can You Feel the Love
Beauty and The Beast – Tale As Old As Time
Fleetwood Mac – Songbird
Bridgerton Theme

Bridal Entrance
Shania Twain – Still the One

Signing
Metallica – Nothing Else Matters
Lady GaGa – Always Remember Us This Way

Exit
Tom Odell – Grow Old With Me

A lot of these tracks you can find on our listen page where there are now over 200 songs we have recorded in our studio.

Drinks Reception

After the ceremony we moved outside for the drinks reception with our Grand Piano Shell and Electric Cello. We were given an undercover space in the corner which was ideal to provide background music whilst the guests enjoyed champagne and canapes.

From there we continued to play a range of songs which included:

Coldplay – Everglow
Space
Mumford & Sons – the Cave
Greatest Showman – A Million Dreams
Bradley Cooper and Lady GaGa – Shallow (from a star is born)
Taylor Swift – Wildest Dreams
The Weeknd – Blinding Lights
Lewis Capaldi – Pointless
AC/DC – Thunderstruck
Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee – Despacito
Game of Thrones – Soundtrack
Florence & the Machine – You’ve Got the Love
Blink-182 – All The Small Things
Elton John – Your Song
Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do
ABBA – I’ve Been Waiting For You
Adele – When We Were Young
Adele – Make You Feel My Love
The Beatles – All You Need Is Love

We then relocated again back inside for the wedding meal. This is all part of the deal with JAM Duo – we have no problem moving around venues to provide music for the different part of the day. It’s very easy for us to move our instruments and takes no more than 10 minutes or so to be set up in the new location (assuming it’s not that far from the previous one!).

We had a really lovely time at Chris and Nicola’s wedding and really loved being part of their special day. At the entry of the wedding breakfast we played Love of My Life by Queen as Chris and Nicola went to get a photo with each table in a dash around the room which is how we got this fab picture as they stopped by us first! Jules seems to be concentrating quite hard…..!
