This was our second visit to the delightful Rhinefield House in the heart of the New Forest. On this occasion we were there to provide day time music (Ceremony, Drinks and Meal) for Kelly and Damian.

The Venue

Originally built in the 19th century, Rhinefield House Hotel exudes a sense of grandeur and elegance, with its Tudor and Gothic architecture creating a romantic ambiance that is simply unmatched. The lush, sprawling gardens and ancient woodland surrounding the estate provide a dreamlike backdrop, ensuring that every moment of your special day is infused with natural beauty and tranquility.

Inside, the hotel’s opulent interiors continue to impress, boasting richly adorned rooms, magnificent chandeliers, and ornate details that exude luxury and sophistication. From intimate gatherings to lavish celebrations, Rhinefield House offers a range of exquisite venues to accommodate weddings of all sizes, each tailored to your unique vision.

The Wedding

Setting up originally in the Great Hall for the ceremony we had a wonderful view of the occasion from our position at the back of the room. Kelly and Damian had chosen some lovely music for their ceremony which included:

Pre Ceremony
My foolish heart- Bill Evans
At last-Etta James
Amazed-Lonestar
Kissing you-Desree
Latched-Sam Smith

Bridal Entrance
Shallow -Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper

Signing
This will be everlasting love- Natalie Cole
Signed, sealed, delivered -Stevie Wonder

Exit
Sky full of stars- Coldplay

The Drinks Reception

After the ceremony and due to the appalling weather outside we moved to the Kings bar for the drinks reception. Here we set up in the corner of the room with the help of Alanna (Mrs Toastmaster) who was a wonderful help to us throughout the day. You can find her on Instagram @mrs_toastmaster

With everyone having to remain inside for the duration of the drinks reception it meant it was quite noisy in a rather small space given the number of people. But no matter we tried to ensure that our music was loud enough to be part of the occasion but without being too dominant. This is never an easy thing to do when people are talking inside but we hope we managed to find the right balance to add something to the occasion.

The Wedding Breakfast

After the drinks reception again with the help of Alanna, we moved back into the Great Hall which had been turned round and set up for the wedding breakfast.

Kelly and Damian had asked us to select suitable songs for the reception but had requested these 3 be included:

Dance monkey – Tones & I
Dancing in the moonlight – Toploader
You’ve got the love -The source

We think it is important that couples have the opportunity to choose the music for their wedding. On our listen page there are now well over 200 inspirational tracks but these are just a guide. From our perspective it’s great when couples choose music that isn’t on our listen page as this gives us new music to source and often we will incorporate these into future recording sessions.

We really enjoyed being part of Kelly and Damian’s wedding and we wish them both every happiness in their future married life together.
