Another road trip North from our home in the Cotswolds took us to the delightful country venue of Walcot Hall in Lincolnshire for the wedding reception of Millie and James.
Today, rather unusually, we were not providing music for the church ceremony which preceded the reception but started the day at Walcot Hall in readiness for the Drinks reception and wedding breakfast which followed.
Setting up outside with our Piano Shell we played music as the guests started to arrive from the church ceremony. The first big moment oof the day (certainly from our perspective!) was to play the Bridgerton Theme as the Bride and Groom arrived in a stunning Horse drawn carriage up the driveway to Walcot Hall.
We then carried on outside with a playlist chosen by the bride and groom whilst the guests enjoyed drinks. The weather was slightly ominous at this stage, but not really a concern as we would shortly be moving indoors.
Around 5pm we played Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen as Millie made a Grand Entrance to the reception by gracefully descending the beautiful staircase in the house.
At that point we then moved ourselves and our instruments inside the main hallway to continue providing music for the wedding breakfast which followed.
We had a really lovely time providing music for James and Millie’s beautiful wedding at Walcot Hall. The Bride looked absolutely stunning in her fabulous wedding dress and James was rather dapper too in Navy tails.
We wish them both every happiness as they begin their married life together.
