Today’s wedding took us to the Northern edge of the Cotswolds on the Gloucestershire / Worcestershire border near the town of Broadway. The venue was Foxhill Manor and the occasion was Suki and Ben’s wedding on Thursday 4 October 2023.
Simply put, Foxhill is a 5-star private manor house hotel in the Cotswolds overlooking the village of Broadway. An intimate Grade II listed Arts and Crafts country home refreshed and revitalised for the 21st century.
Foxhill Manor offers a new type of stay where everything revolves around you. All the character and charm of a boutique-hotel hideaway, served up with heartfelt personal service and an easy going at-home atmosphere.
Today we were delighted to see our friend Tara the Celebrant for the Ceremony which also included a hand fasting. Based in the Cotswolds, Tara is the perfect addition to your wedding and it is always a pleasure when we are working with her.
Music for the ceremony
All the Small things
Amazing Day (Coldplay)
Another Love (Tom Odell)
Nuvole Bianche (Ludovico Einaudi)
I Giorni ( Ludovico Einaudi)
River flows in you (the piano guys) for the Bridesmaids
Can’t Help Falling in Love (Jam Duo arrangement) for the Bride
At Last (Etta James)
I’ll be there for you – Friends theme (Rembrandts)
Stand by me (Ben E King)
We always enjoy a blend of two songs for the bridal entrance and being at the back of the ceremony room gave us the perfect view to see the bridal party enter so we could transition to the second song at exactly the point Sukhi entered.
The Drinks Reception
After Tara had created a beautiful ceremony we then relocated outside into the gardens for the drinks reception whilst the guests were invited to the front of the house for the confetti shot.
It was a little on the chilly side in the garden but the guests were up for it and drinks were served on the lawn to the rear of Foxhill Manor.
We set up in a corner, taking advantage of the fact that we don’t need power for outside performances giving us the flexibility to set up in the perfect location to suit the occasion.
We really enjoyed being a part of Suhki and Ben’s wedding and we wish them every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
Only in the Cotswolds…..!
