The entrance of the bride is often recognised as one the key moments of any wedding – if not the most important moment of all.
Choosing the Music
Having the right song playing as you come down the aisle is, for some of our brides at least, as important as choosing the right dress. However you look at it, this is one of those key moments of the day. Everything until then has been leading up to the moment the bride first appears, looking stunning in every possible way.
For us, the bridal entrance is definitely a big moment. We give all our couples complete freedom of choice when it comes to music. Rather than operate a repertoire list we simply provide some inspiration on our listen page. Here you can currently listen to over 250 of the most popular songs we play, but you are not in any way bound to choose from this list.
The important thing is to choose a song which has a personal meaning to you as a couple. You definitely don’t want to underestimate the power of this detail, though. Music sets a tone, stirs up emotions, and shares a message with your guests, so picking the right songs for the prelude, processional, and recessional is key.
When couples book with JAM Duo, we ask them to complete a client form around 8 weeks or so before the wedding which allows you to select the music we will play at your wedding ceremony. From music as guests are seated through to the entrance of the bride, signing and then the couple exit, you have completely free choice.
Entrance of the Bride
More than one song?
Traditionally it has alway been accepted that there is a song or piece of music played for the entnrace of the bridal party. However, JAM Duo take this a step further. Since it is the entrance of the bride which is deemed the most important moment then what better than having a separate song just for the bride.
Whilst traditionally in churches the Bride entered first with her bridesmaids following, nowadays in civil weddings and also in a lot of church weddings it’s the other way around. The bridesmaids, flower girls, page boys etc will enter first and the bride follows. There is therefore plenty of scope for us to play one song for the entrance of the bridesmaids and then seamlessly transition into a second song for the entrance of the bride.
Not only does this create a much more personal entrance, but it also heralds the arrival of the bride as something special.
Bridal Entrance – Seamless Blend of 2 Songs
Below are a few examples of popular songs we have been asked to blend together. The first song is played as your bridesmaids walk in, seamlessly transitioning to a second song as the bride enters. We can blend any song into any other song at any point – All timed to perfection on your wedding day!
