Channels Estate and specifically the Essex Barn is a delightful wedding venue on the edge of Chelmsford in Essex. JAM Duo love playing for weddings there and we have always found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful.

Outside, in the stunning ceremony garden overlooking the magnificent Essex countryside, the bride and groom can tie the knot under the pavilion while their guests watch the proceedings from the antique wooden pews.

When it comes to reliving the memories made on this most memorable of days, the photographs taken in the tranquil Channels’ surroundings, with its extensive grounds, fountain, lily pond and avenue of mature trees, will provide a lasting memento to the special day.

The beautifully restored 17th century thatched Essex Barn is an idyllic wedding venue for your special day.

Wedding GARDEN

A beautiful extension to The Essex Barn, our newly refurbished outside garden is a fantastic space to serve canapés and reception drinks.

The wedding garden is a great space for live music, children’s games and photo opportunities. It is secluded and has an intimate feel surrounded by stunning country views.

The Essex Barn can host up to 200 guests with amazing catering options.

It really is a great space to enjoy a party with your closest friends and family and of course your new Husband or Wife.

Today we were back in Essex near to Chelmsford for the delightful Barn wedding of Natasha and Neil. Uncertain of the post Christmas traffic we set off in good time and ended up having a couple of hours to spare so wandered into Chelmsford town centre in search of coffee. This gave us the chance to visit Chelmsford Cathedral which is a delightful place if you are ever passing.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal

On arrival we met up with Karen, the venue wedding planner who was extremely helpful. We found a location which actually suited for the whole part of our involvement with today’s wedding which is probably a first. Aside of making our lives easier not having to move our instruments and PA around the venue it also means the couple and their guests benefit from almost non stop music throughout the day.

Pre Ceremony
Africa- Toto
Crazy Little thing called love – Queen
Thousand Miles – Vanessa Carlton
No Place I’d rather be – Jess Glynn
Everywhere – Fleetwood mac

Bridal Entrance
At last I see the light – Tangled
For bridesmaid and bride

This could be a Everlasting Love- Natalie Cole
Dreams come true – Hall and Oates

Power of love – Huey Lewis & news
