Today’s wedding may sound like a repeat of our previous wedding, but in fact no this was obviously a different pairing of Chloe and Sam and this time we were in the stunning surroundings of The Ned in London.

Music for the Ceremony
London weddings for us present their own unique challenges, the biggest of which is the logistical practicalities of actually getting our instruments into the venue.
Knowing the location of The Ned along with road closures in the area meant we left out home in the Cotswolds just after 4am to allow plenty of time to get into the City of London. That said we arrived in good time around 10.30am and immediately there was a problem. We had been directed to the loading bay but in fact this was already jammed full of vans unloading. The only alternative was to pull up in the taxi rank and find an alternative option.
Fortunately the gentleman on the front door were more than helpful and in particular Edward helped us by carrying some kit and allowing us through the main entrance. Without his help I’m not entirely sure how we would have managed so we were extremely grateful for his kindness. This was in stark contrast to the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator who was rude and unhelpful at every point. However that is not something to discuss here.
The Wedding
Heading up to the sixth floor with our instruments and piano shell we soon found the beautiful ceremony room which was busy being decorated by the florists.
Chloe had asked us to set up by the fireplace but the wedding co-ordinator had other ideas and we were told in no uncertain terms to go at the back. Chairs were then promised for us which never materialised.
Doing as we were bid we set up to the rear of the ceremony room ensuring our speakers and cabling were as discreet as possible to blend in with the surroundings.
Music for the Ceremony
Chloe and Sam had chosen some fabulous music for their ceremony which included:
Pre Ceremony
At Last – Etta James
Can’t help falling in love with you
Can you feel the love tonight – Elton John
I get to love you – Ruelle
My heart will go on – Celine Dion
She will be loved – Maroon 5
Tale as old as time – Beauty and the beast
Song before the entrance of the bride – John Legend All of Me
Bridal Entrance
Iris – The Goo Goo Dolls
Signing
Sign Sealed Delivered Im yours – Stevie Wonder
Exit
Everywhere – Fleetwood Mac
There were some really lovely touches at this wedding and clearly Chloe and Sam had taken a lot of trouble to attend to all the details which make a wedding so very special.
We really enjoyed being a small part of Chloe and Sam’s fabulous wedding at The Ned in London. They are a lovely couple and it was our very great pleasure to provide music for their wedding ceremony.
