Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at a typical wedding day with us, from the moment we arrive to the final notes — so you know exactly what to expect when we’re part of your day.
Before the Wedding: All in the Details
Every wedding is unique — and we plan accordingly.
In the weeks leading up to your date, we’ll:
- Confirm your ceremony and drinks reception music choices
- Review your venue layout and logistics
- Coordinate timings with your planner or venue as needed
- Prepare any custom arrangements (we can play nearly anything — our music library includes over 18,000 scores)
We make sure everything is ready so your wedding day runs like clockwork, at least on the music front.
On the Day: Arrival and Setup
We usually arrive around 90 minutes before we’re due to begin playing, giving us plenty of time to set up and soundcheck discreetly.
We bring everything we need:
- 🎹 Nord Stage Piano
- 🎻 Yamaha Electric Cello
- 🔊 Yamaha PA system (ideal for both indoor and outdoor setups)
Our setup is compact, quick, and professional — and we’re dressed for the occasion, ready to blend in with your day.
Ceremony: Emotion Meets Precision
Once your guests begin to arrive, we’re already performing — usually 20–30 minutes of ambient music to create a calm, elegant atmosphere.
During the ceremony, we perform live for:
- The Processional (your walk down the aisle)
- The Signing of the Register
- The Recessional (as you leave as newlyweds)
We time everything live — if the entrance takes longer, we extend the music naturally. If there’s a pause during the signing, we fill it seamlessly. No awkward cutoffs or fades. Just music that follows the flow of your moment.
Transitioning to the Drinks Reception
Once the ceremony ends, we quickly relocate to your drinks reception area. Because we’re a duo with a streamlined setup, we can move between locations at your venue in just a few minutes — no disruption, no downtime.

Drinks Reception: Relaxed, Live, and Stylish
As your guests celebrate, we’ll perform a carefully curated set of music chosen to suit the vibe — whether it’s upbeat love songs, relaxed acoustic covers, or instrumental versions of your favourites.
We’ll blend into the space and create an atmosphere that enhances the conversation, keeps energy levels up, and adds that extra layer of joy and sophistication.
Optional: Wedding Breakfast or First Dance
Some couples ask us to continue through the wedding breakfast, and we’re happy to. We can provide light background music throughout the meal that keeps things elegant but not intrusive.
We’ve also performed first dances when couples want something unique and intimate — like a custom arrangement of their song played live.
End of Day: No Fuss, Just Music
Once our final note has been played, we pack down quietly and efficiently. No disruption to your evening plans, no big teardown scene — just a seamless end to a seamless service.
