Some weddings are beautifully understated, quietly elegant, and completely heartfelt from start to finish. Katie and Joell’s ceremony at Glewstone Court Country House was one of those moments — simple, stylish, and full of genuine warmth.

We were booked to provide music just for the ceremony, and with the intimate indoor setting, soft cream florals and gentle natural light, the whole space felt wonderfully serene. Glewstone Court is a Georgian manor tucked into the Herefordshire countryside, and it really does lend itself to relaxed, romantic celebrations. Surrounded by orchards and rolling hills, it’s a setting where guests immediately feel at ease.

A Morning in Ross-on-Wye

Before arriving at the venue, we took a little detour into Ross-on-Wye for lunch and a wander around a few charity shops in search of jigsaws. Sadly, no treasures today — but it’s always a pleasure spending an hour or so in such a pretty market town before heading off to play.

Setting Up for the Ceremony

For Katie and Joell’s ceremony, we set up at the back of the room with our Nord Stage piano (no piano shell today), electric cello, and our Yamaha speaker system, which is perfect for elegant indoor spaces like Glewstone Court.

The colour palette for the wedding was beautifully considered: sage green for the bridesmaids, light navy blue for the suits, and soft neutrals carried through the floral designs. The bridal party included four bridesmaids, a teen bridesmaid, and a teen boy — all creating a lovely, balanced procession.

Pre-Ceremony Music

As guests began to take their seats, we played a hand-picked mix of contemporary classics arranged for piano and cello:

  • Nothing Else Matters – Metallica
  • Wonderwall – Oasis
  • Dreams – Fleetwood Mac
  • Let It Be – The Beatles
  • Can’t Help Falling in Love – Elvis

These pieces created a warm, nostalgic atmosphere, perfectly suited to the setting.

Bridal Entrance

Katie entered to a timeless favourite:

  • Everything I Do (I Do It for You) – Bryan Adams

Played on cello and piano, it brought a rich, cinematic quality to the moment — full of emotion but never overpowering.

Signing of the Register

For the signing, we moved into something a little more atmospheric:

  • The Shire – Lord of the Rings
  • The Force Theme – Star Wars

Both pieces have an unmistakable sense of wonder, and they worked beautifully together.

Couple Exit

To close the ceremony, Katie and Joell walked out to:

  • Stand By Me – Ben E. King

A classic, joyful choice — heartfelt, timeless, and perfect for that first walk back down the aisle.

A Thank You

Katie and Joell, it was a pleasure to be part of your ceremony. Thank you for choosing JAM Duo to provide the music for such a special moment in your day. Glewstone Court was the perfect backdrop for your wedding, and we thoroughly enjoyed being there to share it with you.
