Eastington Park was built in 1815 by a local clothier and mill owner called Henry Hicks. Mr Hicks purchased the estate in 1806 from the Stephens Family, after the original building, Eastington Manor, was demolished in 1778.

There were four notable families who lived in Eastington Park and they all achieved their wealthy lifestyles through industry and commerce, as opposed to via the privilege and patronage that tended to accompany those with their roots in the landed gentry.

This was the venue for today’s beautiful wedding.

The Wedding Ceremony

Starting with their ceremony, JAM Duo provided music all day for Polly and Ross in the delightful surroundings of Eastington Park near Stonehouse in Gloucestershire.

Polly looked stunning and Ross’ suit carried through the green theme as worn by the bridesmaids.

In terms of music there was a contemporary feel to the music chosen for their wedding ceremony

Bridal Entrance
Your Song – Elton John

Signing
One Day Like This – Elbow
Tale as old as time – Beauty and the Beast

Exit
How long will I love you – Ellie Goulding

Reception and Wedding Breakfast

After the ceremony we relocated to a position which would allow us to provide music for both the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast. This meant technically we were positioned in a doorway, but fortunately not one which was needing to be used and so this worked rather well!

For the wedding breakfast Polly and Ross had given us a few specific songs to include:

Whatever – Oasis
All the small things – Christmas ad
A million dreams – greatest showman
Strange – Bridgerton
Jurassic park
Game of thrones

The Oasis song was a particular favourite of Ross so we made sure we played an extended version for him which we hope he enjoyed!

There were some lovely touches at this wedding – we particularly liked the Colin and Connie the Caterpillar Cakes along with a smaller one to represent their small person and the unity of family.

We really enjoyed being part of Ross and Polly’s wedding at Eastington Park and we wish them every happiness in their married lives together.

Below are a few of our photos from the day.
