For today’s beautiful wedding at Worton Hall in Oxfordshire we were placed under a tree in a delightful spot in the garden. From there we could provide music for Bethany’s bridal entrance, the wedding ceremony and drinks reception which followed.

The Ceremony

Having arrived in good time we set up in the garden as indicated. For once this summer (July 2023) the weather was pleasing. The sun was shining and it was the perfect day for an outdoor wedding.

Finding ourselves some shade under a well positioned tree we started to play music as the guests were seated in anticipation of Bethany’s Bridal entrance.

Starting with the Mother of the bride and son walking up the aisle ahead of the bridesmaids, we played Can’t Help Falling in Love With you. As Bethany then appeared looking stunning in her beautiful wedding dress, we seamlessly blended this into Canon in D for her (quite long) walk down the aisle to where Stefan was waiting.

The music for the rest of the ceremony included:

Signing
Ave Maria
What a wonderful world

Exit
Rusted Roots – Send me on my way

The Drinks Reception

We stayed in our location under the tree to carry on providing music throughout the drinks reception which followed the ceremony. Not only did this make things much easier for us, it also meant the music could continue uninterrupted for Bethany and Stefan, along with their guests, to enjoy.

Music for this part of the day included:

Brown eyed girl
Shallow (A star is born)
Beautiful girls
Better together
Dance monkey
Dancing in the moonlight

Bethany had requested the above songs along with any upbeat popular songs which we were only too glad to play.

We really enjoyed being a part of Bethany and Stefan’s wedding at Worton Hall. It is a delightful venue and they were a lovely couple. We wish them both every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
