Today we were back at the delightful setting of Crowcombe Court in Somerset for the wedding of Lauren and Shaun.
The Wedding Ceremony
Starting with their ceremony, Lauren descended the stairs and walked up the aisle to our arrangement of Christina Perri’s Thousand Years. This is a very popular choice but always an absolute delight to play.
The ceremony continued with some more great musical choices to include:
Signing
Hoppipolla
I’m kissing you Des’ree
Exit
Married life up

The Drinks Reception
We then relocated outside for the drinks reception – a rare moment of sunshine for Summer 2023. There was lots of fun for the guests planned which included Archery lessons on the lawn – that definitely looked like a lot of fun.
We hope our musical backdrop also added to the occasion and the guests certainly seemed to enjoy the music. Lauren and Shaun had picked a few of their favourite songs for us to play during the afternoon which included:
Toto Africa
Can you feed the love tonight
Beyoncé halo
The cave Mumford and sons
Together
Metallica nothing else matters
Accidentally in love
The Wedding Breakfast
Due to space limitations in the meal room we decided it would be best to remain outside for the meal as all the windows were open. Hopefully this meant our music could be heard evenly throughout the room. There is always a danger in a very tightly packed space that we end up being right on top of some guests but some distance away from others which then makes volume a critical factor. Whilst we want to be heard by everyone, for the meal we generally stay at a more background level.
Then again sometimes the guests start singing along, in which case we can adapt accordingly.
We really enjoyed being a part of Lauren and Shaun’s wedding and wish them every happiness for their future together as husband and wife.
