We love finding and recording new songs for you. Our ‘playlist’ over on the listen page of our website is not so much a repertoire list but a place for you to find musical inspiration.
JAM Duo can play anything
Yes that’s right. As two professional musicians with Grade 8 on multiple instruments between us and both having studied music at University, we are well equipped to be able to play any music you like.
Whether that’s the classical strains of Debussy’s Claire de Lune on the Piano or Bach’s Cello Suite No.1 on the Cello, or a wide selection of contemporary covers, Jules and Anne-Marie can play from the original score or create their own unique arrangements.
Our own Recording Studio
To help us record a steady stream of music for your inspiration we are fortunate enough to have our own custom built recording studio full of professional recording gear. The ability to record to a very high standard has always been important to us ever since we created our duo.
We absolutely love recording new tracks to give you inspiration when it comes to choosing music for your wedding. Some of the songs are inspired by lists of what is ‘popular’ at weddings, whilst other songs have been inspired by the couples we work with. And sometimes we just like to pick songs we enjoy playing.
The 275 songs so far recorded (as of March 2024) is far from our ‘playlist’. In fact this represents less than 10 percent of the music scores we currently have in our library. But we hope they serve both as an inspiration when you are trying to choose music for your wedding as well as showing our versatility as musicians.
Over the last few weeks we have added a number of new songs to our growing list of recordings which now means there are 275 tracks online for you to listen to (as of March 2024).
The most recent recording we added today was a favourite of ours from 1965. It was originally recorded by Babara Lewis and more recently performed by the Arctic Monkeys. The tracks is called ‘Baby I’m Yours’. You can hear this track below.
Whilst we play a lot of contemporary songs we have found that a lot of songs from the 1950s and 1960s are equally popular amongst guests at drinks receptions. We also like to make sure we something for everyone on our listen page.
