Some weddings just have that extra sparkle — and Richard and Louisa’s beautiful day at Brookfield Barn in West Sussex was definitely one of them. Nestled in the countryside and boasting views over a tranquil lake, Brookfield Barn offers an idyllic blend of rustic charm and elegant modern styling. The sun shone, the music flowed, and the day was brought together seamlessly by none other than Georgie Mitchell of Georgina Rose Events.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Georgie before — in fact, back in 2022, we played at her own wedding to Brian, so it was a real joy to reconnect and be part of another of her flawlessly organised celebrations.
An Outdoor Ceremony with a Personal Touch
With the lake glistening and the ceremony set up on the lawns, we provided a live cello and piano soundtrack using our Nord Stage Piano and Yamaha electric cello, blending contemporary elegance with a natural acoustic warmth that perfectly complemented the outdoor setting.
As guests arrived, we performed a gentle, emotional pre-ceremony set that included:

Drinks Reception – Lake Views and Laid-back Vibes
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the terrace overlooking the lake for drinks and canapés. With the sunshine holding out, it was the perfect setting for some relaxed and romantic live music — before we later moved into the cooler bar area to continue playing for guests while they mingled and refreshed.

After drinks and laughter on the terrace, we relocated once more to provide live music during the wedding breakfast — this time inside the barn’s stunning reception space. Here, we switched to a softer, background-focused set that added emotional depth and warmth to the meal, while still letting the conversations and speeches take centre stage.
