A Spellbinding Summer Wedding at Wentworth: Music, Magic & Michael Bublé
By JAM Duo – Cello & Piano Musicians for Stylish Weddings
What do you get when you cross a world-famous golf club, a sunny English summer’s day, a Harry Potter entrance, and an ice cream cart? You get Alice & Spencer’s incredible wedding at Wentworth Golf Club – and yes, it was every bit as brilliant as it sounds.
First, Let’s Talk About Wentworth
If you haven’t been to Wentworth Golf Club in Virginia Water, let us paint the picture. Grand, elegant, and oozing with “this is definitely a special occasion” vibes. With its manicured grounds, stately interiors, and views across the championship fairways, Wentworth isn’t just for golfing legends — it’s also the dream venue for couples who love a bit of luxury with their vows.
We were thrilled to be part of Alice & Spencer’s big day on a gloriously sunny afternoon, providing bespoke live music from the romantic ceremony all the way through to a jazzy wedding breakfast.
Ceremony: Classical Romance Meets Movie Magic
Things kicked off with a seriously cinematic vibe. The bridal party made their entrance to ‘River Flows in You’ by The Piano Guys — elegant, flowing, and just the right amount of tear-jerkingly beautiful. As the final bridesmaid stepped into place, we seamlessly transitioned into ‘Harry in Winter’ from the Harry Potter soundtrack for Alice’s grand entrance. A magical moment? Absolutely. Dumbledore himself would’ve shed a tear.
For the signing of the register, we continued the classy, heartfelt mood with two of our favourite cello and piano arrangements:
- ‘Wildest Dreams’ – Taylor Swift/Bridgerton style
- ‘How Long Will I Love You’ – Ellie Goulding
And then, as Alice and Spencer made their official exit as newlyweds, we turned up the energy with a cello and piano cover of ‘Viva La Vida’ by Coldplay — cue applause, confetti, and some very happy guests.

Sunshine, Ice Cream & Tunes on the Terrace
After the ceremony, we relocated outside with our instruments to the terrace area overlooking the golf course. Guests enjoyed drinks (and yes, ice cream – did we mention how great that was?), while we provided a laid-back but upbeat soundtrack full of contemporary covers, including:
🎶 Everything – Michael Bublé
🎶 Africa – Toto
🎶 Kiss Me – Sixpence None The Richer
🎶 Birds of a Feather – Billie Eilish
🎶 Firework – Katy Perry
🎶 One Summer’s Day – Joe Hisaishi
🎶 Island in the Sun – Weezer
🎶 Friday I’m in Love – The Cure
🎶 We Don’t Talk About Bruno – (but we did play it)
🎶 Believe – Cher (yes, with cello – it’s a thing)
🎶 Dreams – Fleetwood Mac
🎶 Up (Married Life) – Disney classic
🎶 Sky Full of Stars – Coldplay
🎶 Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield
🎶 And a healthy dose of Bruno Mars just for good measure
Honestly, it was one of those “we love our job” kind of afternoons. People singing along, clinking glasses, sneaking second scoops of sorbet — all set to the soundtrack of JAM Duo live on cello and piano.
Dinner with a Dash of Jazz
Once guests made their way inside for the wedding breakfast, we brought out our portable grand piano shell (because yes, we’re that extra) and switched to a cocktail piano vibe. Jules took over with smooth, jazzy covers — think laid-back sophistication with just a hint of swing. The perfect musical backdrop to a fine meal, clinking cutlery, and some top-tier speeches.
From Harry Potter to Fleetwood Mac, Alice & Spencer’s day was full of character, charm, and unforgettable music.
If you’re planning your wedding and wondering “Can we have Bridgerton, Coldplay and Disney all in the same day?” — the answer is yes, and we’d love to make it happen for you.
