Yesterday we had the pleasure of returning to the elegant surroundings of Easthampstead Park in Wokingham to provide live piano and cello music for Kyle and Daniella’s wedding. February weddings have a calm, intimate atmosphere, and with around 46 guests gathered, the whole day felt warm, relaxed, and beautifully personal.

The ceremony took place in the Terrace Restaurant, with the reception and celebrations continuing in the Downshire Ballroom. Everything was conveniently close together, allowing the music to flow naturally from one part of the day to the next.

A Ceremony Soundtrack Full of Modern Romance

Kyle and Daniella chose a ceremony programme centred around contemporary pop ballads — music their guests instantly recognised, but reimagined in our live cello and piano arrangements.

Guests arrived to a sequence of emotional favourites including Another LoveAlways Remember Us This Way, and Angels, creating a reflective, romantic mood as everyone took their seats. Daniella’s entrance to “Sanctuary” by Joji was a particularly striking moment — gentle, atmospheric, and perfectly suited to the intimacy of the space.

During the signing of the register we played PerfectBirds Of A Feather, and Dancing In The Moonlight, before the couple exited to the uplifting glow of “Golden Hour” by JVKE — a joyful finish that set the tone for the drinks reception that followed.

Drinks Reception: Familiar Songs, Fresh Energy

For the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, Kyle and Daniella asked for a relaxed mix of modern pop — Post Malone, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi — alongside classics like Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. This kind of repertoire works beautifully on piano and cello: recognisable enough to spark conversation, but refined enough to sit comfortably in the background.

One of the loveliest surprises of the day was discovering that two of the guests were Jonson and Eleanor, whose wedding we performed at in 2024. Seeing familiar faces again is always special — it’s a reminder of how interconnected the wedding world can be. From Wedding Breakfast to First Dance

As the Downshire Ballroom transitioned from meal to evening celebration, we continued playing through the wedding breakfast, providing a smooth musical backdrop while guests relaxed between courses and speeches.

Kyle and Daniella’s first dance was to “Ordinary” by Alex Warren, a tender, modern love song that translates beautifully into a live instrumental arrangement. There’s something uniquely powerful about hearing a couple’s first dance performed live — the phrasing naturally follows the room, the atmosphere, and the emotion of the moment in a way recorded music simply can’t replicate.

A Beautiful Start to the 2026 Wedding Season

Kyle and Daniella’s wedding was a perfect example of how thoughtful song choices and live performance can shape the feel of an entire day. From the quiet anticipation of the ceremony to the easy conversation of the drinks reception and the intimacy of the first dance, the music gently carried each moment forward.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of such a warm and welcoming celebration at Easthampstead Park, and we wish Kyle and Daniella every happiness for their future together.
