Wedding Ceremony
No matter where you’re getting married — a church, registry office, hotel, or private venue — live music adds depth and emotion to the day. Jules and Anne-Marie can perform indoors or outdoors, and with our portable power supply, we’re fully self-sufficient wherever you need us to be.
Music for Your Wedding Ceremony
There are typically four key moments during a wedding ceremony where music plays an important role:
- Guest Arrival – 15–20 minutes of background music as guests are seated
- Bridal Party Entrance – a special piece as the bride or couple walks in
- Signing of the Register – 2–3 songs during this short interlude
- Exit of the Newlyweds – upbeat, joyful music as you walk out together
JAM Duo can provide music for every part of your ceremony, including guest arrival. And if you’re having a church wedding, Jules is also a professional organist — so between piano, cello, and organ, we can cover all of your ceremony music needs.

After the ceremony — often marked by that all-important confetti shot — JAM Duo transitions seamlessly to your drinks reception, setting up quickly to continue the music without disruption.
Using top-tier instruments and a high-quality sound system, we create the perfect musical backdrop — elegant, uplifting, and always in tune with the flow of your day.
Playing at over 250 weddings a year, JAM Duo has the experience and instinct to read a room. Whether your guests are mingling over champagne or soaking in the moment outdoors, we provide live music that elevates the atmosphere without ever overpowering it.
Flexible, Self-Sufficient & Always Professional
At JAM Duo, we take pride in being completely self-contained, making your day easier and smoother. All we need is a small space — around 2m x 1m — whether that’s tucked into a corner, set up on a stage, or positioned outdoors.
With our own silent power supply, we can perform absolutely anywhere, indoors or out, without needing access to electricity. Our Yamaha Electric Cello, Nord Stage Piano, and Yamaha PA system deliver a rich, balanced sound that suits any venue — from formal halls to garden terraces.
No Rigid Sets, Just Seamless Music
Unlike many musicians, we don’t charge by the set or the hour. Our aim is simple: to create a memorable experience for you and your guests. For drinks receptions, we typically provide up to 90 minutes of continuous live music, which matches the natural flow of most receptions — no interruptions, no stress, and no unexpected charges.

In addition to the ceremony and drinks reception, JAM Duo provides beautiful live music throughout your wedding breakfast — setting the perfect tone as you and your guests dine, relax, and celebrate.
Whether you choose the elegant blend of cello and piano or the sophisticated charm of cocktail and jazz piano, we’ll tailor the music to suit the mood and style of your day. Our performance adds warmth, atmosphere, and just the right touch of sophistication — all without overpowering the conversation.

First Dance
For many couples, the first dance is one of the most romantic and memorable moments of the day — your first time on the dance floor together as a married couple.
JAM Duo can arrange and perform your chosen song live for cello and piano, creating a beautifully intimate and personalised version just for you. This special performance usually takes place just before your DJ begins the evening celebrations.
We can arrange any song you choose — from classic love songs to modern hits — and we never charge extra for bespoke arrangements. Some couples know exactly what they want for each moment — from the ceremony entrance to the first dance. If that’s you, simply send us your list. We’ll make sure every song is performed live, beautifully arranged for cello and piano.

Our Repertoire
The tracks on our Listen Page are just a small sample of what we can play. We perform from a library of over 18,000 songs, and that collection is growing all the time.
We love discovering and arranging new music, so when you book JAM Duo for your wedding, we’ll send you a music form where you can list any songs you’d like us to play — whether it’s a timeless classic, a chart hit, or something completely unexpected.
If it’s not already in our library, we’ll create a custom arrangement for cello and piano at no extra cost. Your music should reflect you, and we’re here to make that happen.
If you don’t know where to start then we will be only too happy to make some suggestions. Maybe you have a favourite song or band? Sometimes clients are happy to leave the choice of music to us. This is often the case if we are performing for a Wedding Reception. But again if there is a particular song or songs you want included in the set list, just let us know..
