Set the Tone for Your Meal with Live Music – Cocktail Piano, Light Jazz, or Modern Piano & Cello Favourites
Live music during your wedding breakfast adds a layer of elegance that brings the whole room to life. With JAM Duo, you can create the perfect atmosphere — whether that’s sophisticated solo cocktail piano or a warm, expressive blend of piano and cello. We tailor the music to match the mood, setting, and energy of your day — effortlessly stylish, never overpowering.

When We Play During the Wedding Breakfast
In most cases, JAM Duo will perform throughout your wedding breakfast — starting as you’re announced into the room and continuing until dessert is served. If you’d like a special song as you make your entrance, we’re happy to play something tailored to that moment.
We typically wrap up after 90 minutes, just before speeches begin. This ensures we can quietly pack down without disrupting your guests or becoming a distraction during the toasts.
What if speeches are before the meal?
No problem — we can still provide 90 minutes of live music during service. Just let us know in advance, as early speeches may extend our total booking time, which could affect your quote or slightly shorten the performance window during the meal itself. We have an option to pay £75 for up to an additional 1 hour of our time which will generally allow us to play for the full 90 minutes after your speeches.
Either way, we’ll work closely with your venue or coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly.

A Personalised Soundtrack for Your Wedding Meal
At JAM Duo, we know how powerful music can be in shaping the atmosphere — especially during your wedding breakfast. It’s a time for guests to relax, chat, and enjoy the moment, and live music helps set the perfect tone.
With Jules on piano and Anne-Marie on cello, we create a rich and expressive sound — from elegant background jazz to modern love songs, all tailored to your personal taste.
Piano, Cello, and a Setlist That’s Yours
Our performance during the meal usually blends:
- Solo piano for a classic, cocktail-style vibe
- Piano and cello duets for added depth and variety
- A mix of contemporary covers, classical pieces, or even 1930s jazz standards — whatever suits your style
Around 8 weeks before your wedding, you’ll receive our online music form where you can list your favourite songs, artists, or genres. Some couples give us a full playlist, others just a few preferences — we’ll build the perfect set either way.
Flexible and Responsive to the Room
While we’re primarily there to provide background music, the beauty of our setup is its flexibility. If the energy starts to lift, we can adjust the tempo and create a more upbeat atmosphere — without needing a second setup or long breaks.
In fact, we’ve had guests singing along between courses to Angels by Robbie Williams, and just as many quietly enjoying some vintage piano jazz.
Whatever the moment calls for, we’ll read the room and respond in real time — ensuring the music always feels right.
A Real Moment, Captured Live
The video below was filmed at Crowcombe Court during the wedding of Eloise and Thomas in April 2023. It wasn’t staged or planned — just a spontaneous moment shared with a guest who asked if we’d play something upbeat. In return, she kindly filmed a short clip on her phone.
No editing, no filters — just us doing what we do best: creating connection through music.
Watch how guests (and especially the bride!) respond to our version of Africa by Toto — a great example of how live music can elevate the room and make the experience truly memorable.
