Our primary aim is to enhance the atmosphere without overly intruding on the festivities. The soothing melodies of JAM Duo act as a gentle soundtrack, creating an inviting and pleasant environment for your guests to unwind and engage in conversation. Our repertoire is carefully curated to encompass a range of genres and styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Equally, however, we can create a more upbeat and louder set if you are looking to create more of a party atmosphere during your drinks reception. By using a nord stage piano and Yamaha electric cello we can be as loud (or as quiet) as the occasion requires.

How Much Music?

Typically, our performance during the drinks reception spans approximately 90 minutes, allowing ample time for your guests to enjoy the music whilst they gather.

With an average of 10 songs per hour, there is plenty of flexibility to include a selection of your favorite tunes. We invite you to share your choices with us, which you can do when you complete our client form around 6 weeks before your wedding. We will then incorporate your music choices into our performance, adding a personal touch to your special day.

At JAM Duo, we believe in providing a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Within reason, we do not impose any time limits on our performance. Our commitment is to adapt to the flow of your drinks reception and carry on as necessary, ensuring that the musical atmosphere remains enchanting and uplifting until your guests transition to the wedding breakfast.

Space Required – Performing Indoors and Outside

When you choose JAM Duo, you can relax knowing that we come fully equipped with our own instruments to create a captivating musical experience. Our preferred setup includes our Electric Cello and Nord Stage Piano, which produce enchanting sounds that will mesmerize your audience.

To accommodate our performance, we kindly request a space of approximately 2m x 2m. This allows us to comfortably set up our instruments and create a visually appealing arrangement that adds to the overall ambiance of your event.

While our performances primarily take place indoors, we understand the desire for outdoor celebrations. Weather permitting, we are more than happy to bring our instruments to an outdoor setting, adding a touch of enchantment to your alfresco affair. Our adaptability ensures that we can create memorable musical moments in various locations.

In terms of logistics, you can rest assured that we are entirely self-sufficient. We do not require access to electricity as we bring our own portable power pack. This means that we can set up and perform in any location, regardless of access to electrical outlets. Our dedication to providing a seamless experience extends to ensuring that technical requirements are not a limiting factor for your event.

A note on performing outdoors:

If you do require that we perform outdoors, generally this not an issue. We have our own (silent) portable power pack so can set up anywhere. The only thing we cannot control is the weather – generally however if it is pouring with rain, we rather tend to assume your guests won’t be outside either! Provided there is adequate shelter we are happy to perform in marquee’s or under umbrellas provided they are suitable to keep our instruments dry.
