Today we played for a lovely wedding at Shuttleworth in Bedfordshire. It was a lovely sunny Autumn day for Danielle and James and their wedding was set against the absolutely beautiful backdrop of Shuttleworth House. Situated just South West of Bedfordshire near Biggleswade, this was our first visit to Shuttleworth and the venue certainly didn’t disappoint. On arrival we were met by the wedding planner who was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the day.
A good wedding planner is often essential. Not just to help the Bride and Groom, but to look after suppliers on the day and make sure everyone knows where to go, what the timings are and provide an update on any changes in the plan.
Music for the Wedding Ceremony
Starting with the ceremony, we played for around 20 minutes as the guests arrived and were seated in the ceremony room at Shuttleworth. Right on time Danielle made her entrance, preceded by her bridesmaids who looked resplendent in Mint Green .
Danielle had chosen Amazed by Lonestar for her bridal entrance. And to be fair she did look amazing as she walked up the aisle to where James was stood waiting.
After the ceremony the newly weds walked out to the song ‘Us’ by James Bay.
Music for Wedding Drinks Reception
Following the ceremony we relocated to the Great Hall for the drinks reception. And in fact, despite being October it was such a glorious day we decided to play outside. Possibly this might be the last opportunity this year, as it’s predicted to get colder, but nevertheless it was very pleasing being able to perform outside in the autumnal sunshine.
