Arriving in good time, we parked outside Bolton Priory and were met by the Rector, The Reverend Nicholas Mercer. An interesting chap, he was previously the Rector of the Falkland Islands, a parish which includes South Georgia and the British Antarctic Territories, and is based in Christ Church Cathedral, Port Stanley, the southernmost Anglican cathedral in the world. Prior to this position he was Assistant Chaplain at Sherborne School, and previously served his curacy in Gillingham, Dorset.

Wedding Ceremony
Setting up with our lovely new Nord Stage Piano and the Yamaha Electric Cello, we found ourselves positioned in the North Aisle, which gave us a fabulous view of the couple during their ceremony. We also had plenty of time once set up so took the chance to explore the local area. A short walk from the Priory we found a delightful cafe and a second hand bookshop, both of which we gave our custom to!
Returning to Bolton Priory our first role was to provide music before the service. Lauren had chosen some great music both before and during the ceremony.
Ceremony Music
Prior to walking down the aisle: Wildest dreams- Taylor Swift / Turning page
Bridal entrance/ waling down the aisle – Ellie Goulding- How long will I love you

About Bolton Priory
The Priory is an Anglican Church within the Diocese of Leeds where Christians have worshiped since 1154. The Reformation is a daily backdrop for our lives and, fittingly, their worship is centred round the Book of Common Prayer 1662.
Wedding Drinks Reception
For the drinks reception we moved a few hundred years to The Tithe Barn. This is owned by Cripps and Co and we have been to a number of their other venues including Riding Mill and we will soon be going to Cripps Barn in Gloucestershire.
