Today we were back at Ashridge House this time for the beautiful wedding of Nelson and Sophie.
Once a royal residence to King Henry VIII and Princess Elizabeth I, today Ashridge House is an award winning meeting, events, and wedding venue. Set in 190 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, Ashridge House is located in Hertfordshire, only 30 minutes north of London.

Saturday 25 February 2023
Today we were providing music for the ceremony which took place in the Great Hall at Ashridge followed by the Drinks Reception.
The Wedding Ceremony
Starting in the Great Hall at Ashridge House, we set up in a position just beneath or to one side of the grand central staircase.
As well as performing as JAM Duo, on this occasion we had also been asked to accompany a singer for part of the bridal entrance.
Entrance of the Bridal Party
This featured one of our famous blends of two songs. Starting with Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs for the entrance of the bridesmaid we then seamlessly transitioned into Can’t Help Falling in Love which is where the singer came in.
Emmanuel was a friend of Nelson and Sophie and they wanted him to sing just during Can’t Help Falling in Love.
This was absolutely not a problem for us. We provided a suitable microphone linked into our system and with nothing more than a short rehearsal before the ceremony everything fell perfectly into place.
The Wedding Drinks Reception
After the beautiful ceremony we then moved to an adjacent space at Ashridge for the Drinks Reception where we were set up in a conservatory style area.
Here, the musical request was for songs from Musicals as well as TV and Film themes. We played for around an hour or so as guests drank champagne and enjoyed canapés.
Wedding Videography and Filming
After the drinks reception we returned again to the Great Hall as the Videographers had asked us, (well Anne-Marie) to be part of a short film they were making. The purpose of this was both for Sophie and Nelson’s wedding video as well as to create a short promotional film for Ashridge House.
Always happy to work with other suppliers, Anne-Marie set up on the staircase in the Great Hall so the videographers could get a few artistic reels which could then be included as part of the wedding video.
