We made a welcome return to the unique surroundings of Elmore Court. Originally established as a home in the thirteenth century it is run by the same family today and is one of the top wedding venues not only in the Cotswolds but arguably in the whole of the UK. We absolutely love playing for weddings at Elmore Court with its unique vibe and sustainable approach to weddings.

Ceremony and Drinks Package
On arrival at Elmore Court we set up in the main hall which had been beautifully arranged for today’s ceremony. With lots of guests expected for the ceremony the best available location for us was at the front of the room next to the piano. We are reliably informed the piano at Elmore Court is not currently playable but it is aesthetically quite pleasing and so we tend to put our own keyboard in front of it. I don’t think it fools anyone that we are using the actual piano (although you never know!), but it does mean we fit neatly into the space and do not encroach into the front of the ceremony.
Music for the Wedding Ceremony
Zoe and Ryan had made some great choices when it came to music for their ceremony at Elmore Court which included:
Pre Ceremony
Dancing in the Moonlight – Toploader
It’s All about You – McFly
The Lord of the Rings – The Shire and May It Be
Your Song – Elton John
Shallow – Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper
Accidentally in love – Counting crows
Bridal Entrance
Dreams – The Cranberries (for bridesmaids)
Everywhere – Fleetwood Mac (for bride)
Signing
All you need is love – Beatles
Signed, Sealed, Delivered – Stevie Wonder
Exit
This will be – Natalie Cole
We always love a blend of two songs and these two work particularly well together.
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony and whilst the confetti shot was being arranged we moved outside onto the lawn at the side of Elmore Court. Here we set up by the main house, and to comply with sound restrictions at Elmore we position our speakers in the windows which look out over the drinks reception.
I say restrictions, the only requirement is for us to keep speakers indoors, but we can perform outside and actually having our speakers in the windows puts the sound above the drinks reception and is actually better than if we were to bring them outside!
We really enjoyed being at Elmore Court for Zoe and Ryan’s wedding and it was a pleasure to provide daytime music for them. We left as the guests started to make their way to the Gillyflower for the wedding meal and evening party. We wish Zoe and Ryan every happiness as they embark on their married life together and thank them for choosing JAM Duo to provide their daytime entertainment.
