Donington Park Farmhouse is an Exclusive use Barn Wedding Venue. Quite possibly it is one of the earliest Barn Wedding venues in the UK as they have been hosting Weddings and Parties in their charming eighteenth-century Barns since 1984.
Today we were invited to play for the ceremony which would create the new Mr and Mrs Dousing.

Music for the Wedding Ceremony
JAM Duo always start playing around 15 – 20 minutes ahead of the wedding ceremony. As to whether many people hear this music is largely dependent on whether or not the bar is open or drinks are being served beforehand!
Katie walked in to our performance of Can’t Help Falling in Love. We have two versions of this and today we played our more ‘traditional’ version. Both are the familiar song by Elvis Presley although we sometimes play the version by the Brooklyn Duo.
The wedding was conducted beautifully by two representatives from the local Registration Service and before long the newly weds were signing the registrar. At this point we stepped in with more music and played ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight‘ by Elton John.
Nowadays the signing part of the marriage doesn’t take very long – indeed more time is taken with Photographs of the Bride and Groom and their wedding party. As the newly weds left the ceremony room, we played them out to Brown Eyed Girl.
Weddings and Events in Derbyshire
JAM Duo have played for quite a few weddings in Derbyshire and the East Midlands. In fact only a week earlier we had been in Chesterfield where we were playing for a memorial service.
