It’s a well documented fact that JAM Duo will travel all over the UK to play for weddings and events. In the vast majority of cases we do not charge for travel, although we do tend to operate a minimum fee for weddings in Scotland.
We absolutely love travelling around as for one thing it means we get to see lots of different places as well as meeting a great number of lovely people. As weddings are generally at fairly sociable hours (ie during the day!) this also sometimes gives us the opportunity to explore new places and towns near to the wedding venue. In recent weeks we have been to Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Suffolk and Northumberland, all in the space of just a few days.
But that said, our home is a sixteenth century barn nestled in a quiet part of the Cotswolds on the Wiltshire / Gloucestershire border. In many ways we are well located as we can easily get to either the M4 to go East or the M5 to go North or South.
Gloucestershire Wedding Musicians
Whilst we love travelling around, usually to the tune of around 5000 miles per month on average, it’s also nice sometimes to be involved in local weddings. Technically we (just about) live in Wiltshire but only a few yards from the border to Gloucestershire.

If you are getting married in Gloucestershire at any of the venues above or indeed at any others then we would love to hear from you. Ironically we have yet to play for weddings at some of the nearest venues to our home which include Kingscote Barn near Nailsworth. We are looking forward to our first trip to Grittleton House in a few months time. Aside of Westonbirt School and the Hare and Hounds which is effectively our local pub, Grittleton is probably the nearest dedicated wedding venue, albeit technically in Wiltshire rather than Gloucestershire.
