A Grand Entrance at St Mary’s RC Church, Derby
The wedding day began at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Derby, a beautiful and historic setting for Jerrine and Sharon’s heartfelt ceremony. JAM Duo were delighted to provide live music for the bridal entrance, helping to set the perfect tone for this emotional and meaningful moment.
The music began with ‘You Are the Reason’, accompanying the processional of the bridal party, including:
- The groom’s parents
- Groom’s brother and sister-in-law
- Groom’s sister and ring bearer
- The groom himself
- Twelve pairs of groomsmen and bridesmaids
- The bride’s mother and flower girl
- Bride’s sister and brother-in-law
As the music gently underscored each entrance, the atmosphere built beautifully to the moment everyone was waiting for. With the second piece, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love With You’, JAM Duo signalled the guests seated on the side aisles to rise, welcoming Sharon and her father as they made their way down the aisle. A perfect musical moment to accompany the bride’s graceful entrance.
After the ceremony, JAM Duo packed up and relocated to Osmaston Park to prepare for the next stage of the celebrations.
Drinks Reception on the Terrace at Osmaston Park
Upon arrival at Osmaston Park, JAM Duo set up on the terrace, using our elegant black gloss piano shell – a stunning centrepiece that looked right at home against the backdrop of this luxury venue.
As guests arrived from the church, they were welcomed with champagne and canapés while JAM Duo performed a selection of handpicked live music to complement the atmosphere – relaxed, romantic, and joyful.
A particularly magical moment came with the arrival of Jerrine and Sharon, when they cut their wedding cake in style, paired with a champagne tower that sparkled in the summer sun. At this key moment, JAM Duo performed ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran – a heartfelt and timeless song that beautifully marked the couple’s arrival as newlyweds.

It was a true pleasure to provide music for such a thoughtful and joy-filled celebration. From the grandeur of the church entrance to the laid-back elegance of the drinks reception at Osmaston Park, every element of Jerrine and Sharon’s wedding was handled with style, warmth, and love – and JAM Duo were proud to provide the soundtrack.
