At JAM Duo, we provide a live soundtrack that elevates the atmosphere without ever overpowering it. Our music creates space for conversation, laughter, and celebration — setting the tone for a beautiful afternoon.

Some couples want soft, stylish background music — gentle acoustic covers, instrumental favourites, and romantic melodies that float through the air.

Others want to lift the energy and set the stage for celebration, especially with guests arriving from the ceremony and the drinks starting to flow.

Whatever the mood, we’ll match it.

Using our Nord Stage Piano and Yamaha Electric Cello, we can adapt our sound to suit the space — from relaxed and ambient to upbeat and bold. It’s entirely up to you.

How Long Do We Play?

We perform up to 90 minutes of live music during your drinks reception — no breaks, no interruptions, just a seamless set while guests enjoy their drinks and canapés.

That gives space for around 15–20 songs, depending on the pace and flow.

Your Music, Your Way

Every couple is invited to choose the songs they’d like us to play. Some give us a full playlist, others just share a few artists or a general vibe — either works perfectly.

You’ll receive a client form around 6 weeks before your wedding, where you can:

List specific songs
Suggest artists or styles you love
Or simply tell us “we trust you” — and we’ll curate the perfect set

While we guide our set around 90 minutes, we’re not clock-watchers. We’ll adapt to the natural flow of your reception, ensuring the music supports your day rather than interrupts it.

JAM Duo is completely self-contained — we bring everything needed to create an unforgettable live music experience, including:

Our own portable power pack — so no electricity required

We can perform anywhere — indoors or outside — and we’re more than happy to set up outdoors as long as the weather is on our side. No fuss, no extra logistics for you or your venue.

How much space do we need?

Just a space of around 2m x 1m is all it takes.
This gives us enough room to set up comfortably, without getting in the way — and the setup looks clean and elegant in any setting.

A Note on Outdoor Performances

If you’re planning an outdoor drinks reception or ceremony, we’re more than happy to perform outside — and we’re fully equipped to do so.

Thanks to our silent, portable power pack, we can set up virtually anywhere without needing access to mains electricity.

Weather Considerations

The only thing we can’t control is the weather. In general, if it’s pouring with rain, we assume your guests won’t be outdoors either — and we’ll follow your lead on where to set up.

That said, we’re happy to perform:

In marquees, tipis, or under a suitable large canopy, as long as there’s adequate protection for our instruments – they cannot get wet under any circumstances.
Under our own compact gazebo, which we can bring to shield us from direct sun or light rain

We’ll always work with your venue and your plan to make sure the music can continue, whatever the weather.

Summary of what’s included

Jules (Piano) and Anne-Marie (Cello) – we NEVER use sub-contractors or backing tracks.
90 minute performance usually without a break.
Choice of repertoire – we will perform your favourite song(s). You will be able to tell us what music you require via our online client form. We do not operate a ‘repertoire list’ and so you can choose anything you like!
Self contained Duo performing in a space approx than 2m x 1m (slightly larger if we bring our piano shell.)
We bring our instruments and everything needed, including our own power supply.
JAM Duo can perform indoors or outdoors (weather permitting).
