A historic setting with a soundtrack of love, film, and timeless classics
For Naomi and Miles, their wedding day at Forty Hall in Enfield was the perfect combination of history, romance, and personality. With a ceremony in the Banqueting Suite of this grand Jacobean mansion and a drinks reception flowing between the terrace and the bar, the setting was both elegant and relaxed. JAM Duo were delighted to provide the soundtrack to the day, from the carefully chosen ceremony music to the lively mix of film themes, musicals, and timeless favourites during the reception.
The Venue – Forty Hall, Enfield
Forty Hall is one of North London’s most iconic historic houses. Built in the 1620s for Sir Nicholas Rainton, a wealthy haberdasher who went on to become Lord Mayor of London, it is a rare example of a surviving Carolean mansion – an architectural style that blends late Jacobean and early Classical design. With its striking red-brick façade, ornate interiors, and surrounding gardens, it is a treasured heritage site as well as a much-loved wedding venue.
Over the centuries, the Hall has seen a fascinating history, from its origins as a private estate to its later uses as farmland and municipal property. In the 1950s, it was acquired by Enfield Council, and since then has been carefully restored and maintained. Today, it serves as a museum, cultural centre, and event space.
For weddings, the highlight is the Banqueting Suite, a bright and spacious room with period features that retains the grandeur of the Hall’s 17th-century origins while offering modern comfort for ceremonies and receptions. For Naomi and Miles, this elegant room provided the perfect setting for their vows.
Ceremony Music – Classical Elegance with Personal Touches
As guests gathered in the Banqueting Suite, JAM Duo performed a thoughtful and varied set of pre-ceremony music. Naomi and Miles’ choices blended romance with personality, reflecting their tastes and adding depth to the atmosphere.

Bridal Entrance
For Naomi’s entrance, the couple chose something deeply romantic:
- All I Ask of You – from Phantom of the Opera
Performed live, this iconic Andrew Lloyd Webber piece was filled with emotion. The soaring cello melody and rich piano harmonies captured the drama and romance of the moment as Naomi walked down the aisle.
Signing of the Register
During the signing, JAM Duo performed:
- Can’t Take My Eyes Off You – Frankie Valli

These choices struck a balance between heartfelt and joyful, keeping the atmosphere light and celebratory.
Couple’s Exit
As Naomi and Miles left the ceremony as husband and wife, the music shifted to a burst of joy with:
- Believer – The Monkees
An upbeat and fun choice, it perfectly set the tone for the celebrations to follow.
Drinks Reception – Film Themes, Musicals, and Modern Favourites
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace, taking in the views of Forty Hall’s gardens, as well as inside in the bar where JAM Duo had set up as requested. This flexibility meant the music could be heard by everyone, no matter where they chose to relax.
The drinks reception music was eclectic, playful, and full of personality. Highlights included:
- Game of Thrones theme tune
- Jurassic Park theme tune
- Friends theme tune
- Pure Imagination – from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
- Back to the Future theme tune
- My Heart Will Go On – from Titanic
- Disney classics such as Part of Your World and Kiss the Girl (The Little Mermaid) and Tale as Old as Time (Beauty and the Beast)
- Brown Eyed Girl – Van Morrison

And many more, including songs by Queen, ABBA, Taylor Swift, and a variety of well-loved musicals.
What made this setlist so memorable was the way it blended fun and sophistication. Guests were delighted to recognise iconic film and TV themes, while romantic ballads and upbeat classics provided the perfect background for conversation and celebration. On piano and cello, even the most familiar songs took on a fresh, elegant quality.
The Sound of JAM Duo
What makes JAM Duo unique is that all of our music is performed 100% live. We don’t rely on backing tracks – every note you hear comes from the cello and piano, arranged specially to suit the occasion.
For Naomi and Miles, this meant their music was perfectly timed, flexible, and atmospheric. Whether it was a dramatic musical number in the ceremony, a film theme during the drinks, or a pop classic played in the bar, everything was tailored to the moment.
The versatility of cello and piano meant we could move seamlessly between genres – from Disney to The Beatles, from Taylor Swift to Jurassic Park – without ever losing the elegance and intimacy that live music brings.
A Wedding Full of Character
Naomi and Miles’ wedding at Forty Hall was the perfect example of how music can bring personality and atmosphere to a celebration. The grandeur of the Banqueting Suite contrasted beautifully with the playful and varied soundtrack of the drinks reception, ensuring the day felt both elegant and fun.
From the heartfelt emotion of All I Ask of You to the joyous exit to The Monkees, every detail was carefully thought out – and for us, it was a privilege to bring it to life through live performance.
Forty Hall itself, with its long history and beautiful setting, was the ideal backdrop. As one of London’s finest Jacobean houses turned wedding venues, it offered Naomi and Miles a unique blend of heritage and romance.
Final Thoughts
Naomi and Miles’ wedding was a true celebration of love, laughter, and music. Their choices – spanning pop, musicals, film, Disney, and classics – reflected their personalities and gave guests a day to remember.
For JAM Duo, it was a joy to perform in such a historic venue and to be part of a celebration that blended tradition with individuality.
Congratulations once again to Naomi and Miles – we wish you every happiness in your journey together.
