Every wedding tells its own story, and Judea and Sina’s celebration at De Vere Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire was one filled with colour, elegance, and emotion. From the exquisite florals in the Orangery to the lively atmosphere of the drinks reception, every detail came together to create a day that was both personal and unforgettable.
For us as JAM Duo, it was an immense privilege to provide live music for their ceremony and drinks reception. With Jules on piano and Anne-Marie on cello, our role was to craft the soundtrack to some of the most important moments of their lives.
Tortworth Court: An Elegant Gloucestershire Wedding Venue
Nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside, De Vere Tortworth Court is a venue steeped in history and renowned for its elegance. Originally a Victorian mansion, the hotel is surrounded by 30 acres of parkland and an arboretum with rare trees, making it one of the most impressive estates in the region.
The star of the ceremony for Judea and Sina was the Orangery, a light-filled space with glass ceilings and ornate details. On this day, it was transformed into something truly spectacular, adorned with pink florals that filled the room with romance and sophistication. Against this stunning backdrop, the music took on an even more powerful role—enhancing the atmosphere and marking each transition of the ceremony with meaning.

Ceremony Music in the Orangery
The ceremony was a rich blend of Western classics, Bollywood influences, and even Persian song choices—reflecting Judea and Sina’s personalities and cultural heritage. This variety is something we particularly love as musicians: taking music from many different genres and re-imagining it for piano and cello, giving each piece a unique, live interpretation.
Pre-Ceremony
As guests gathered in the Orangery, we set the tone with a specially arranged prelude playlist:
- Bridgerton Theme Song – instantly recognisable, elegant, and perfectly suited to the grandeur of the Orangery.
- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – a classic Bollywood love song that added warmth and cultural depth.
- Ordinary by Alex Warren – a modern romantic ballad, creating intimacy and connection.
- Jane Maryam – a Persian piece chosen by the couple, highlighting the importance of music in celebrating heritage.
- Lovely by Billie Eilish – haunting, contemporary, and heartfelt.
This combination of pieces ensured that the atmosphere was welcoming, sophisticated, and deeply personal.
Entrance of the Bridal Party
For the entrances, Judea and Sina wanted a seamless flow of two iconic songs:
- Bridesmaids entered to Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift, ethereal and cinematic in tone.
- The Bride followed with Halo by Beyoncé, a song brimming with emotion and power.
As live musicians, we were able to blend these songs so that the transition was smooth and perfectly timed to the pace of the bridal walk—something only possible with a live performance.
Signing of the Register
During the signing, we performed Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. Its timeless beauty gave the moment a sense of calm and permanence, underlining the significance of the vows just exchanged.
Couple Exit
For the exit, Judea and Sina chose This Will Be (An Everlasting Love), an upbeat, joyous anthem that had guests smiling and applauding as the couple walked back down the aisle together.
Drinks Reception in the Main Hotel
After the confetti shot in the grounds, the celebrations moved indoors to the main hotel building for the drinks reception. Here, we brought a mix of styles to entertain guests as they mingled, enjoyed refreshments, and shared in the happiness of the newlyweds.
Our set included songs from our Bridgerton playlist alongside a range of popular and contemporary hits, creating a lively yet elegant background. Some of the highlights included:
- Believe – Cher
- Girls Like You – Maroon 5
- Birds of a Feather – Billie Eilish
- Until I Found You – Stephen Sanchez
- Pee Loon – Bollywood classic
- Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield
- Your Song – Elton John
The Orangery had offered a space of quiet grandeur, while the main hotel provided a more relaxed environment where the music could be playful and varied. Guests responded wonderfully—recognising familiar tunes, smiling as they heard favourite songs, and enjoying the unique sound of cello and piano arrangements.
Always 100% Live, Always JAM Duo
One of the aspects we always emphasise is that all our music is 100% live. There are no backing tracks, no hidden accompaniments—only Jules on piano and Anne-Marie on cello, playing together in real time.
This is particularly important in a wedding setting. Live music means we can:
- Time bridal entrances perfectly. If a bridesmaid lingers or a bride pauses, the music follows naturally, never cutting short or running on awkwardly.
- Blend songs seamlessly. As with Judea’s entrance, we created a natural transition between Wildest Dreams and Halo—something pre-recorded music could never achieve with such fluidity.
- Respond to the atmosphere. A drinks reception can ebb and flow, so we adjust our dynamics and tempo to suit the energy in the room.
Equally vital is the reassurance that JAM Duo is always Jules and Anne-Marie. In a world where AI is increasingly shaping what people see and hear, and where some music providers rely on dep musicians or recordings, we remain committed to being fully transparent. When you book JAM Duo, you know exactly who you’re getting and what to expect. That consistency is part of what makes us unique—and it’s something our couples deeply value.
A Day to Remember
Judea and Sina’s wedding was an absolute joy to be part of. The carefully chosen music, the stunning venue, and the presence of family and friends combined to create an atmosphere that was both moving and celebratory.
The Orangery at Tortworth Court, dressed in pink florals, provided one of the most elegant backdrops we’ve ever played in. The drinks reception carried that energy forward, with music that encouraged conversation, laughter, and connection.
And at the centre of it all were Judea and Sina themselves—a couple whose choices reflected their personalities, heritages, and above all, their love for each other.
We are so grateful they chose us to provide the soundtrack to their day. It was our privilege to share in the celebration, and we wish them both a lifetime of happiness together.
