A joint creation of London-based Soho House & Co and New York’s Sydell Group, The Ned is a twenties-inspired wedding venue situated in the heart of London. This glamorous throw-back to the 1920s is set in the iconic former Midland Bank building, designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924. Opening in 2017, this heritage hotel offers an alluring blend of historic grandeur and contemporary elegance that will instantly elevate your slick city wedding.

The Ned features an exciting mix of private and public restaurants, a luxury spa, and elite event space, all under one roof. Within this 3,000 square meter wonderland, the entire historic sixth floor is dedicated to wedding affairs. In this exclusive setting, you can have your pick of six Grade I-listed rooms and terraces or hire the entire floor as your own plush playground for 200 guests. The Tapestry Room is the venue’s darling, representing all the elegance the building has to offer. Amidst its original walnut panelling and crystal chandeliers, you can say ‘I do’ embraced by up to 120 seated guests or host drinks for 210. Elsewhere, the Saloon personifies 18th-century sophistication between its Devonshire House-sourced chandelier and original ornate chalk frieze. It’s an excellent choice for a classic wedding breakfast for 70 guests. Alternative places include the refined Drawing Room, the more modern Rose Room, and the intimate Wren Room. You will also have access to the elite Ned’s Club, whose Spa features a range of facilities to enhance your wedding glow. This includes the in-house nail service, hairdressing salon, and speakeasy-style barbershop. The hotel also boasts nine distinctive restaurants where loved ones can indulge in Italian cuisine, American staples, Asian-Pacific specialities, and more. Plus, for weekend or overnight stays, there are 252 bedrooms available, each one a testament to vintage 1920s design.

Getting married at The Ned couldn’t be easier. Their fabulous team can take care of everything you need, from the ceremony and your menu, to the flowers and music. Weddings at The Ned take place on the historic sixth floor, which has six rooms and two outdoor terraces with views across the City. There’s space for weddings of all sizes, whether you want an intimate affair for 50, or a large-scale gathering of 180.
Takeover the entire sixth floor for the day and along with hosting your ceremony, drinks reception and dinner, you’ll also have space for any extras you might want, like a photobooth room, a dedicated present area, a green room for the band or somewhere for children to play. Our chefs will work closely with you to create your perfect wedding menu – from canapés and light bites, to a formal sit-down dinner and late-night snacks to keep your guests going until the early hours. Ned’s Club Spa is just a lift ride away, to ensure getting ready on the big day is as seamless as possible. We offer manicures, pedicures and facials, and Ned’s Barbershop and Parlour for hair services too.
As a couple, you’ll spend your wedding night in our Terrace Suite, with arched windows, a four-poster king-size bed, and your own private terrace. With a total of 250 bedrooms, there’s also room for your wedding guests to rest their heads at The Ned once the party is over, so you can re-live the whole day again over breakfast.
