Our third Christmas corporate event this year took us to the offices of NatWest and Coutts Banking in central Bristol. In a building shared with the University of Bristol we were booked to provide music for a Christmas Fair held in the cafe area for all staff.
Coutts Office in Bristol
The Bristol office was established in 1976. Coutts has built its reputation on understanding the needs of individuals, whatever their walk of life, and responding to them effectively and discreetly. Whether you are rapidly progressing in your career, or building your business, and are looking to build your wealth, they provide a fast track into Coutts. Equally, if you have built your wealth and wish to see it grow, the approach to total wealth management, supported by an award winning approach to investments will help you achieve your goals.
NatWest at Trinity Quay
Back in 2021 after the spate of lockdowns NatWest decided to consolidate the space it held in Trinity Quay and move all staff into what was described as a single ‘agile workspace’.
The bank said the new “agile workspace”, which will include an auditorium, would see staff from NatWest, Coutts and Lombard join the accelerator hub and digital studio at Trinity Quay 2.
Justin Smith, head of corporate South West and South Wales region, said the move was an important strategic step as the bank looked at ways to improve how it supported customers and staff.
“Our purpose is to champion the potential of people, families and businesses and by empowering our colleagues with an agile workplace setting that matches their needs ensures we are able to do so,” he said.
“Our transition to a greater collaborative and flexible workspace also supports our climate ambitions as we intend to be climate positive with our own operations by 2025.”
The Christmas fair was raising money for Gympanzees, who are a Bristol-based charity, by having a xmas jumper competition and people bidding to have JAM Duo perform particular songs.
The brief was to play for around an hour (in the end it was such a great event we played for about 2 hours in total). The client had asked for a mixture of Christmas songs and popular covers. One of the request’s was Halo and our client (who had donated money to charity to hear us play this) said it was the best version of Halo she had ever heard!
You can hear this and a selection of music we play by visiting our listen page.
There are 66,000 young people with disabilities within an hour of Bristol and over 1.1 million in the UK.
77% of children with disabilities cannot access regular leisure facilities so can’t play, exercise or socialise in the same ways as their peers.
This not only affects them, but leaves whole families in isolation, with 72% of parents suffering mental health issues as a result.
Gympanzees offers a solution, providing accessible fun and fitness for all disabled children.
Gympanzees are a charity in Bristol on a mission – a mission to open up a world of fun and fitness for all disabled children.
